Work in a tall building and hate waiting for the elevator to let everyone else off first? Wait no more. This article in Lifehacker called Send the Elevator Directly to Your Floor says that all you have to do is push the “Close Door” button and select your floor at the same time. Presto! The elevator bypasses all the other floors and goes directly to yours! That way you can get back in a hurry to answer all the burning questions that your employees may have like: “What do you mean, I’m not getting a pay increase? I only called in sick on Mondays. Forty-one times.” Or, “You mean open enrollment isn’t open all year?” Or, “I know it says so in the handbook, but where does it say that applies to me?” On second thought, maybe you’ll just want to wait it out and forget the “door close + your floor” trick.
