HR and the Bad Stock Photo of the Week

These people who work for the City of Alameda’s Human Resources Department must be tired. Like worn out. And not just from standing so close together and tilting their heads back at uncomfortable angles.

I mean…these people work all over the country!

Here they are working in San Antonio.

And here they are working in the Bronx

They’re everywhere!

You know, it doesn’t cost much to do a photo shoot of real people. If you want to show a picture of your HR department, show them. And if you think you’re not diverse enough…well, duh, using a photo called “Diverse.jpg” isn’t gonna fix that.

I got a bunch of new material from my friends this week. Up next is one that my friend Sian sent. It cracked me up.

If you want to see something featured on HR and the Bad Stock Photo of the Week, send me a note.

The picture is perfectly named as an archtype for bad diversity programs. “It’s all about how it looks and not about how it is.”

Bill, it’s so true about appearances over substance. And I wonder how people can photograph diversity of thought.

This just cracked me up and now I can’t stop seeing these photos everywhere. I am addicted to this series. Thanks (I think)!

Thanks so much! Those photos are everywhere…and they super make me laugh, too. We’ll keep going for a while…the opportunities are all there!
