I logged my 10,000th Tweet today. I didn’t get a parade. No balloons. Not a medal. Or a trophy. I tweeted 10,000 times and all I got was this crummy t-shirt.
Twitter had its day. That was years ago. Now it’s dying a horrible death. Is anybody out there?

We’ll always have 10K, Fran.
I’m kinda glad to be memorialized on the screen cap…
p.s. I shall parade around my office in honor of the 10k.
Robin, you’re in the hall of fame!
The novelty is wearing off, Facebook is stealing back the market, and they still have no business model. I’d say the future of twitter isn’t bright.
I frequently lament to Lance Haun that I get little value from Twitter anymore. I consider quitting at least once a month, but ultimately come back to it – partially because I still have a few worthwhile connections there, and partially because “everyone else is using it.”
Have you found a solution, Frank? Still plan on using the service, even though it’s dying?
@Furley – Facebook is stealing “market share,” but as an original user (back when you could only be friends with people at your college and needed to use a school email addy to join), I find myself liking the service less and less with each new update. It’s still a great way to connect with friends, but all the bells and whistles irritate rather than enhance the experience.
Hey, Chris…I’m not done with it….but getting close. I still peek…but it’s not like the old days. Nothing is.
