I Love Yearbooks

Posted on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 by Frank Roche

We just got our 2009 yearbooks in at our shop. They are filled with pictures of what we did during the year. We worked hard. We played hard. We ate together. We have pictures of all of it.

We enjoyed looking over what happened last year and seeing a book published in large format. There’s something so permanent about having a hard cover book to look at. We love it. And we even signed each others’ books in high school style.

Which gets me to thinking…do you create a yearbook for your team? I’m not talking about a brag book — that’s something else entirely. I’m talking about a book that tells a story about how you worked together. Have you made one? What was the reaction? Did people love it?

Support this post around the web. We would really appreciate it.

Not sure if this counts Frank but I do an audio diary which for me captures even more than pictures. You and hear the emotion, joy, pain, anger etc. Each year I summarise it – just for me – and it makes a great record. This year ended with the birth of my son William James Barklam McArthur. Wow!

This year I’m going to try and combine audio with pictures – will be a load of fun I am sure.

Happy New Year Frank – keep up the blogging you are up there man!!

The yearbook is totally festive. Inspired. I love it.

The great thing about these yearbooks is getting everyone else on the team to sign them. It’s fun, in part because we are competing to make the best high-school style notes.
