@Bill I think that is the best. I was just thinking about that today. We got a quill and dipping ink as a present from PMV when he went to Florence. I like a nicely done handwritten note. I have some from years ago when I first started working.

@Rich there's nothing better than an unexpected gesture of faith. That is really cool. And way to go on the big staffing job, too. That was some kind of work in that timeframe.

This is a great post!

When i first started working as a Technical Recruiter back in '05, one of the first big projects I needed to staff was a project out in Columbus, OH. It was a weekend install/deploy project, which required 25 A+ certified technicians. The project called for different technicians at different times, and really was a great first project for me to sink my teeth into. The kicker of this project was we only had 7 days to find each of our contractors.

Working over time in the office, spending hours at home, and being on call on the weekend got me noticed my supervisor and owner of the small staffing agency. When the project ended, my company handed me their corporate credit card and told me to take my girlfriend to any restaurant I wanted. It was an incredibly nice gesture, and taught me the value of hard work and sacrifice.
