Okay, Frank – my temptation is to say: Human Resources. Because? Because some of us in HR possess exceptional management know-how, of which, many of the line-managers do not have. However, I gave up trying to prove myself to them a long, long time ago.

“LINE MANAGEMENT is an occupation in which you have to keep proving your talent to (many HR) people who have none.”

Too often HR people forget that their job is to support operations, not the reverse.
