The Secret to Longevity
Sep 1If I knew I was going to live this long, I’d have taken better care of myself. — Mickey Mantle, U.S. baseball player (1931-1995)
When I saw this quote of the day today I thought, “Mickey Mantle was ahead of his time.” How many people do you know who could say the same thing?
I’m going to put that quote on a poster. (Send me a note: I’ll send you one.) Sure, you can beat around the bush about wellness and not really mean what you say. This is straight up communication. Say what you mean. If you want to live a long and healthy life, there’s no time like the present to get started. How’s that for a wellness message?

@Jon T Brilliant!
This was so good I almost dropped my doughnut onto the sofa.
@Bill I almost chocked on my cherry danish when I read that.
Basically, its all about the choices we make in life!
It appears that Mantle didn’t always make the right one’s. Many just like him, are blessed with immense talent, but diminish their longevity and level of competing with questionable decision making!
I thought that George Burns said that. Hmmmmm. I think he had a martini and cigar everyday and almost lived to 100.
