painting nails ,texting, reading the paper,doing your makeup .they need to put that driver under the jail.i hate people who dont pay attention while driving. YOU CANT REPLACE A LIFE………….

I had a board member at my previous place of employment that was frequently heard bashing “multi-taskers”. His complaint was that you are never doing two things at once, you might be devoting 80% of your attention to the email you are typing but that 20% is just enough to make you send that funny, inappropriate email to the entire company.

On I side note, I saw a guy today at a stop light who was the driver, talking on his cell phone and attempting to eat a hot fudge sundae.

@Mark, I like the concept of mindfulness. I this media barrage world, it’s essential to keep that in mind. When behind the wheel of a 2-ton weapon, even more so. Something was so pointed about that story. Perhaps it was seeing the picture of the killed motorcyclist that did it for me. This one really stuck me today.

Good to be mindful in all we do, as you say. I like that advice.

Thanks for this – mindfulness – saves lives.

What would it be like to apply this way of being to everything? E.g. when e-mailing – just e-mail. When listening to a colleague -just listen, etc?
