You know what’s hard? Being one.

What’s funny is the more I learn about something or some field of study, the more humbling it gets. I start to realize that I’m not an expert, but more of a student.

@Bill The markets have shown us that if something seems too good to be true, it usually is. Nothing like working for money.

@Rick I have faith in the cream rising to the top, but it still makes my blood boil (metaphor morning!) when flashy people win over those more qualified. Thanks for your couplet…it is about value, ot about glitz.

@Laurie You’ve shown what activism coupled with activity does. You not only talk about the SPCA, you do it. And that’s valuable in all aspects of life.

@CoCreatr It’s the truth…too much echo chamber makes for very few real ideas.

Real life is fairly hard – especially in market activity. If it is too easy, that is a pretty good test that something is not authentic.

A lot of truthiness in this blog lately. Glad to see someone taking a stand on doing what’s right. I particularly like your one on experts. I have lost in the short run to those that boast better than me.

Here is another one.

You know what’s easy? Selling something.
You know what’s hard? Bringing real value to your customer.

This is so right, Frank. It is easy to opine. It’s hard to ‘do’.

This post has me thinking about volunteerism. I can write a check to the SPCA or I can go into crack houses and trailer parks and rescue pit bulls and kittens. I’ve done both. Writing the check is easy. Physically pulling animals out of walls is hard.

Work is hard. Effort is hard. We’ve devalued it so much in our society. I’m glad someone is out there working, though.
