HR Communication Lesson About Simplicity
Posted on Friday, January 30, 2009 by Frank RocheHere’s your HR communication lesson today. It’s something I learned in journalism school:
Say it once. Say it right. Get outta there.
I could say a bunch more, but you get the point. I’m outta here.

Love it. My friend Peggy Andrews who blogs as the Career Encourager has a similar catchphrase that I love to quote-
Be bright. Be brief. Be gone.

Ann…I'm going to add Peggy's phrase to my collection. That's a good one. Thanks!

I remember college & presentations. The saying went something like this:
Be brief, be witty, be seated.

Hmmm. A friend of mine once wrote a country song titled: “Can I be Frank with you tonight” but I guess that's another issue.
My dad used to tell his preaching students to “Stand up. Speak up. Then shut up.”

Wally…that sounds like a song I should know. LOL.
Brilliant words of wisdom from your dad. His legacy is there with you and your great advice.
