Hello, new subscribers. I got alert after alert yesterday saying, “You have a new e-mail subscriber.” I don’t know what happened yesterday, but many of you decided to give KnowHR a spin. Thanks very much for that. If you’re new to KnowHR, here’s a few articles that bring in a lot of traffic:
Top 10 Best Presentations Ever. This one still gets a thousand or so visits a day more than 18 months after it was written. My favorite “presentation” is from My Best Friend’s Wedding.
Women Make Less Than Men: 5 Things HR Needs to Do Right Now To End Pay Inequality. It’s just not right, and this was a bit of a rant…with some solutions offered.
10 Ways to Know When It’s Time to Get Out of HR. Snatch the pebble from my hand, Grasshopper. We’ve gotten lots of comments about this one.
Anwyays, drop me a note if you want. I’ll write back. Glad to have you here.

Frank,
You have an advocate in Bill Strahan, VP Comp&Benefits @ Comcast. I was at a seminar on Comp where he was presenting. As a sidenote, he told the audience if you’re not reading blogs as an HR professional, you’re missing the boat. He specifically mentioned your website. I took a look and was hooked immediately. (Far be it for me to miss a boat.)
After a couple of months exploring other blogs and subscribing, your blog is the one I recommend to most people.
Your reputation is preceding you.
Thanks, Dr. Smoot. It always helps to know where your friends are. That’s just really great. I appreciate you stopping by and your endorsement. That really means a lot. Cheers!
Frank, thanks for reminding me of email subscriptions.
I even managed to add the little subscription button to my site. Does this make me a geeky HR person?
Hi Happy Employee! Nope, that doesn’t make you an HR geek to have an email subscription. We have over 200 people who get KnowHR that way…and I think that those, along with the RSS subscribers, are the most loyal readers. I like that.
