The Worst Recruiting Video Ever

Posted on Monday, May 14, 2007 by Frank Roche

I’m pretty sure this might be the worst recruiting video ever. I think Ernst & Young is a very good company, but this video would make potential employees run for the exits. OMG.

If you want to get candidates to join you, perhaps having a singer scream “Oh Happy Day!” for four minutes while your employees uncomfortably squirm and clap in the background isn’t the way to go. How about a little authenticity, guys? Contrast the “Oh Happy Day” video with this recruiting video by Connected Ventures. If you were an accountant looking for a job, which company would you like to join?

Take a look at Vcruit.com to see how video recruiting can be done brief, clear and effectively.

It’s like the proverbial train wreck. I just can’t turn away even though I know it’s wrong to look.

Have you see the very cool recruiting video's at http://www.RecruiterEarth.com? I know they are coming out with a new Reality TV Show called “Top Recruiter”. Should be very exciting!
