Forbes Org Chart Wiki
May 8Forbes has created an Org Chart Wiki. It’s interesting, because I’m not 100 percent certain that companies necessarily want their org charts out there for public consumption, but once toothpaste is out of the tube, you can’t put it back.
NB: I wrote about CogMap, a variation on this wiki idea.

I really like the idea of wikis – and think that they would be ideal for firms to manage KM. I wonder how many organisations can really claim competitive advantage as a consequence of their Org Chart?
You know, it’s really not matter of what the companies want. It’s public information. Anyone could find it out one way or another. What Forbes has done is compiled it all and made it easier and faster for us to find. I think it’s a good idea. And it’s working, cause their registrations sky-rocketed because of it.
