A Thousand Words Can Never Describe a Picture

The Visual Dictionary is a very cool idea.
The Visual Dictionary is a collection of words in the real world. Photographs of signage, graffiti, advertising, tattoos, you name it, we’re trying to catalogue it.
We started the project back in February, and have since racked up nearly 3000 images of 2000 words – thanks to everyone who has contributed to date.
They’re looking for entries, so if you have pictures, it would be cool to contribute. I’m going to look through my thousands of pictures and see if I have anything that would help. After all, The Visual Dictionary appeals to me because one of my favorite sayings is, “A picture is worth a thousand words, but a thousand words can never describe a picture.” Which is why I think so many performance reviews and systems are flawed. How do you describe a year’s worth of toil, sweat and tears in 20 lines?
